Rev. Dr. Daniel Olson
Pastor Olson is now entering his ninth year of service at St. Paul serving as both pastor and also principal of the school. Pastor Olson has served as a pastor in the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod for over twenty seven years. He completed his undergraduate work at Concordia University Wisconsin. He then completed his Master of Divinity degree at Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, IN. He continued his education while serving fulltime as a pastor and earned his Master of Sacred Theology degree from Concordia Seminary in Fort Wayne. He then began work on his doctorate and received his Doctor of Ministry from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, MO. Pastor has during recent years served in the dual role of school principal. He has a passion for preaching and teaching God’s Word to all ages and has been deeply involved in the church’s educational ministry over the years. Pastor is also a husband and father and loves spending time with his children when he is not working.
Mrs. Budnik is entering her 9th year teaching at St. Paul. She grew up in Luxemburg, in fact, a mile from St. Paul, in which she attended until 8th grade, graduated from Luxemburg-Casco High School, then furthered her education at UW-Milwaukee with a degree in Early Childhood Education. She will be married to her husband, Nate, for 12 years this year. They have 2 children, Mason in 5th grade and Lily in 3rd grade, who both attend St. Paul. She taught 6 years at St. Paul after graduation, then decided to spend time with her children at home. Their family loves the atmosphere of this school! In her spare time, you can catch her at different sporting events, usually on the bench coaching, and she also enjoys working out, and loves spending time with her family!
Sherry Byrne is beginning her 22nd year of teaching, her 9th year at St. Paul. Sherry grew up attending St.Paul and N.E.W. Lutheran High School. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Early Childhood from Concordia University Wisconsin. She began in Arlington,Texas teaching Kindergarten and 2nd grade. She taught 1st grade in Houston, Texas. Sherry took 10 years off to stay home with her 2 children. Her family moved to Atlanta, Georgia for a few years and then to Allen, Texas where Sherry taught Kindergarten. After living in the south for 25 years, Sherry, her husband and two children came to live in the Luxemburg area again. Nate is married with a little girl born this summer and Allie graduated with her master’s degree and works for Acuity in the Sheboygan area. It is a blessing to be back with family and back at St. Paul. She loves sharing her ministry with the families of St. Paul Lutheran church and school.
1st & 2nd Grade Teacher
Mrs. Pahnke is in her 16th year of teaching 1st and 2nd grade at St. Paul Lutheran School. She is originally from Merrill, WI and moved to Luxemburg in 2007. She attended Concordia University in St. Paul, MN and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education in 2007, with a minor in Lutheran Confessional Heritage. She obtained her Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Cardinal Stritch University in 2010. Heidi married her husband Phil in October 2014. Their son Clayton will be 3 in March. Mrs. Pahnke takes great joy in the opportunity to minister to kids and families at St. Paul and share her love for the Lord with all of them. Outside of school some of her favorite hobbies include hunting, fishing, hiking, music, and running.
3rd & 4th Grade Teacher
Mrs. McClellan is excited for this year at St. Paul. She has a degree in Education from Concordia University Wisconsin. Mrs. McClellan and her husband, Jim, live in Green Bay. Jim is the principal of NEW Lutheran High School. Her daughter, Rebekah, is in her sixth year of teaching at Trinity Lutheran School in Merrill, WI. Her son, Jedidiah, is in his third year at Concordia Seminary in St. Louis. She enjoys knitting and reading and spending time with her grandson. Mrs. McClellan is excited to continue her ministry with everyone in the St. Paul family.
5th & 6th Grade Teacher
Miss Schingeck is entering her sixth year of teaching. She is looking forward to her second year teaching at St. Paul. Miss Schingeck grew up in De Pere, Wisconsin and attended college at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay where she studied elementary school education and minored in psychology. She also earned her Colloquy through Concordia Wisconsin. Miss Schingeck came from St. James in Shawano, Wisconsin. There she taught fourth grade for one year and second grade for three years. In her spare time she likes to read, go camping, kayaking, fishing, and spending time with her family. Miss Schingeck is looking forward to continuing her ministry at St. Paul school.
7th & 8th Grade Teacher
Mr. Wiemer is entering his 4th year of teaching. He was recently called to St. Paul from Peace Lutheran School in Brookings, SD where he taught 2nd & 3rd grade. Prior to that, he got his degree in Elementary Education from Concordia University Chicago in River Forest, IL. Tom is excited to teach his students servant leadership qualities that they can use into adulthood! Tom has been married to his wife Rebecca (St. Paul’s DCE) for 3 years, and has a son, Miles (1 1/2 years old). In his spare time, Tom enjoys watching Chicago sports, hiking, fishing, target shooting, spending time with family, and grilling!
Math Teacher / Special Education Teacher
Mrs. Zeitler is in her 27th year of teaching and her 22nd year at St. Paul Lutheran School. She is orginally from Kingsford, Michigan and moved to Luxemburg in 1997. She attended Concordia University in Mequon, WI and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education in 1991, with a minor in Coaching. She obtained her Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Cardinal Stritch University in 2003. Kristen married her husband Mike in September 2000. They had their daughter, Aliyah, in 2003. Mrs. Zeitler enjoys teaching math and working with students who need additional help at St. Paul. Outside of school some of her favorite hobbies include spending time with family and doing any type of art.
This is Lacy’s eighth year teaching music at St. Paul’s. She graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree from UW- Green Bay, with emphases in vocal and general music. She lives just south of Kewaunee on the family dairy farm. She enjoys playing for services at her home church, along with working with Sunday school music. She is looking forward to working with the students at St. Paul’s and helping them make beautiful music.
Director of Christian Education
Mrs. Wiemer is serving her third year as part time DCE at St. Paul Lutheran Church and School. She is originally from Brunswick, MO, and served in Sioux Falls, SD for over 2 years before moving to Luxemburg in 2020. She attended Concordia University Chicago in River Forest, IL and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Director of Christian Education and Theology in 2018. Rebecca married her husband Tom in June 2018. They have a son, Miles Wilhelm (2) and are expecting in October with their second! Mrs. Wiemer takes great joy in the opportunity to minister to all people at St. Paul and share her passion and love for Jesus. Outside of church and school some of her favorite hobbies include fishing, baking/cooking, traveling, adventuring out, and spending time with family!
