Rev. Dr. Daniel Olson

Pastor, Principal

Pastor Olson is now entering his eleventh year of service at St. Paul serving as both pastor and also principal of the school. Pastor Olson has served as a pastor in the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod for over thirty years. He completed his undergraduate work at Concordia University Wisconsin. He then completed his Master of Divinity degree at Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, IN. He continued his education while serving fulltime as a pastor and earned his Master of Sacred Theology degree from Concordia Seminary in Fort Wayne. He then began work on his doctorate and received his Doctor of Ministry from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, MO. Pastor has during recent years served in the dual role of school principal. He has a passion for preaching and teaching God’s Word to all ages and has been deeply involved in the church’s educational ministry over the years. Pastor is also a husband and father and loves spending time with his family when he is not working.

Beth Budnik

4K Teacher

Mrs. Budnik is entering her 12th year teaching at St. Paul. She grew up in Luxemburg, in fact, a mile from St. Paul, in which she attended until 8th grade, graduated from Luxemburg-Casco High School, then furthered her education at UW-Milwaukee with a degree in Early Childhood Education. She will be married to her husband, Nate, for 15 years this year. They have 2 children, Mason in 8th grade and Lily in 6th grade, who both attend St. Paul. She taught 7 years at St. Paul after graduation, then decided to spend time with her children at home. Their family loves the atmosphere of this school! In her spare time, you can catch her at different sporting events, usually on the bench coaching, and she also enjoys working out, and loves spending time with her family!

Sherry Byrne

5K Teacher

Mrs. Byrne is in her 26th year of teaching and her 13th year at St. Paul.  Sherry grew up down the road from St Paul and went to school there.  She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Early Childhood from Concordia -Mequon.  Sherry taught in Texas where she met her husband, Rob.  After living in the south for 25 years, the Byrne family picked up and moved to Luxemburg.  Sherry and Rob have 2 grown children and 2 grandchildren.  Being a Grammy is the best!!  It is a blessing to be back at St. Paul and sharing the love of Jesus with the families.

Heidi Pahnke

1st & 2nd Grade Teacher

Mrs. Pahnke is in her 19th year of teaching 1st and 2nd grade at St. Paul Lutheran School.  She is originally from Merrill, WI.   She attended Concordia University in St. Paul, MN and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education in 2007, with a minor in Lutheran Confessional Heritage.  Mrs. Pahnke obtained her Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Cardinal Stritch University in 2010. Heidi and her husband, Phil, were married a couple years later and now have two children.  Mrs. Pahnke takes great joy in the opportunity to minister to kids and families at St. Paul and share her love for the Lord with all of them.  Outside of school, some of her favorite hobbies include hunting, fishing, hiking, music, and running.

Laura McClellan

3rd & 4th Grade Teacher

Mrs. McClellan is excited for this year at St. Paul.  She has a degree in Education from Concordia University Wisconsin.  Mrs. McClellan and her husband, Jim, live in Green Bay.  Jim is the principal of NEW Lutheran High School.  Her daughter, Rebekah, is a teacher at Trinity Lutheran School in Merrill, WI.  Her son, Jedidiah, is a pastor at Zion Lutheran Church in Wayside.  She enjoys knitting and reading and spending time with her grandchildren.  Mrs. McClellan is excited to continue her ministry with everyone in the St. Paul family.

Briana Schingeck

Upper Grades Teacher

Miss Schingeck is entering her ninth year of teaching. She is looking forward to her fifth year teaching at St. Paul. Miss Schingeck grew up in De Pere, Wisconsin and attended college at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay where she studied elementary school education and minored in psychology. She also earned her Colloquy through Concordia Wisconsin.  In her spare time she likes to read, go camping, kayaking, fishing, and spending time with her family. Miss Schingeck is looking forward to continuing her ministry at St. Paul school.

Kristen Zeitler

Upper Grades Teacher

Mrs. Zeitler is in her 30th year of teaching and her 25th year at St. Paul Lutheran School.  She is originally from Kingsford, Michigan and moved to Luxemburg in 1997.  She attended Concordia University in Mequon, WI and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education in 1991, with a minor in Coaching.  She obtained her Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Cardinal Stritch University in 2003. Kristen married her husband Mike in September 2000. They had their daughter, Aliyah, in 2003. Outside of school some of her favorite hobbies include spending time with family and doing any type of art. Mrs. Z. is looking forward to the opportunity to share her love of Jesus with her students this year.

Shellie Kosmerchock

Upper Grades Teacher

Mrs. Kosmerchock (Mrs. K.) is starting her 28th year in the ministry and her first year at St. Paul Mrs. K. grew up in rural Wisconsin on a dairy farm.  She received her Bachelor of Arts from St. Paul with a major in Social Studies, an emphasis in History, and a minor in Psychology.  She earned her Master’s in Education from Viterbo University in LaCrosse, and a Master’s in Administration from Concordia Nebraska. She was called to serve in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Nebraska, and Ohio before returning home to Wisconsin to be close to family.  Mrs. K. and her husband Joe have two grown boys and 5 grandchildren.  Being ‘Oma’ is the best part of being a parent.  Mrs. K. loves to share Jesus and her faith with her students building strong relationships.  She loves spending time at her camper relaxing and enjoying the sun.

Sarah Shin

Special Needs / Math Teacher

Mrs. Shin is excited to start a new school year at St. Paul School. She was born and raised in the Montpelier area and fondly remembers attending St. Paul School when the building was across the road. Mrs. Shin graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay with a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Development and Elementary Education. She and her husband, Hans, have two grown children and four cats. Mrs. Shin enjoys hiking, searching the shores for rocks and driftwood, gardening, traveling, and spending time with her family. She feels blessed to have this opportunity to share her love of the Lord with the students.

Lacy Siegmund

Music Teacher

Miss Siegmund has been teaching music at St. Paul since 2014. She graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree from UW- Green Bay, with emphases in vocal and general music. She lives just south of Kewaunee on the family dairy farm. Miss Siegmund enjoys playing for services at her home church, along with working with Sunday school music. She is looking forward to working with the students at St. Paul and helping them make beautiful music.
